It was created to hasten the discovery and development of fresh, cutting-edge drugs and therapies for infectious illnesses with the goal of improving world health. Leading UK organisations working on infectious disease research and development are represented by iiCON, which is led by the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM).
